Classes

Studio Classes:

I offer classes in my studio on the first and third Tuesday of most months, taking a break from classes in July and August. These classes are casual with an open style where everyone works on their own project, are from 6-8pm and cost $10 each. I also start beginners and offer a beginner kit and first class for $75. Please email me if you are interested in classes.

Workshops/Camps:

Over the years I have attended and taught at a few of the workshops/camps here in California and these are my favorites.

July: Hooker Hill Rug Retreat, Oakhurst, CA. Teachers: Laurie Wiles and Sharon Saknit. More information at www.woolpoppies.com.

Late October: Little River Inn Rug Camp, Mendocino, CA. Teachers: Tanya Graham and Michele Wise. More information at www.flyingdoghookery.com

Wine Country Rug Hookers:

I am active in our local ATHA chapter, Wine Country Rug Hookers, and we meet on the second Saturday of most months, with the exception of August, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 460 Murphy Ave, Sebastopol, CA from 10:30am-2:30pm. Our business meeting is from 11am-12pm and occasionally offer mini classes after lunch. We also host a “Hook-In” event every couple of years. You are welcome to reach out to me for more information about our local guild.

Western McGown Teachers Workshop:

June 25-June 30, 2023, Co-Directors Susan Kleidon and Brigitta Phy

Sponsored by Honey Bee Hive Rug Hooking.

Every June we meet in Eugene, OR, to learn and share with each other. I co-direct this workshop with my good friend, Susan Kleidon. The 2020, 2021 and 2022 workshops were cancelled due to Covid-19 but we will meet again 2023! The workshop is held at Riley Hall, a dorm of the University of Oregon, where we all have single or double rooms and get to hook at night in our jammies together in the lounge at the end of the hall. It is a wonderful week of inspiration, creativity and friendship. Please contact me for more information if interested in attending.
